The story of the Ghosts

The story of the Ghosts

My home is in Divakarkathi village of Jhalokati district. There are many ghost stories about our village. The incident that I will share with you today happened almost 40 years ago. The electricity has not reached our village yet. Oh, not to mention at first, this incident I heard from my father and grandmother. The incident happened to my grandmother.

My grandfather was a sorcerer. He could have a gin star. Whenever he went out of the house in Jin Tara, he would mortgage the house tightly and everyone who came out of the house that day was allowed. One day my grandfather hurried to Jin Tara. He forgot to mortgage the house that day. It was about 8 o'clock in the morning when he reached the house where he had gone to Jin Tara. He defeated the jinn once and released the jinn from the body of the person whom the jinn had weighed. As soon as he let go of the gin, he shouted, "I went to your house!" So grandfather replied, yes, do whatever you can! But at the same time, Dada noticed that he had forgotten to leave the house in a hurry.

In the meantime, Jinta came to his grandfather's house and stood outside the house with his grandfather's form and voice and called out to his grandmother, "Zamina, come with the vessel!" Grandma thought Grandpa might go to the toilet and the village toilets were a little far from home. Grandma came out with water and noticed that Grandpa was going to the garden instead of going to the toilet. Grandma immediately realized that it was not Grandpa. So he hurried to the house. Suddenly, a gust of wind extinguished the cup in her hand. He ran towards the house.

But the gin suddenly picked up the grandmother from the side of the yard and threw her in the pond next to the house and started dipping. My uncle and aunt were at home then. Grandma was only able to call her great-aunt once in a moment of danger. He called me Aklima and fortunately that call reached my aunt's ears. My uncle and aunt came running and saw my grandmother floating unconscious in the middle of the pond. They then quickly rescued the grandmother and took her home.

It would have been better if the incident had ended here. But since then Grandma has often had some nightmares. Grandpa taught us the whole house and forbade us to go out of the house in the evening. Then nothing happened while Dada was alive. Ever since my grandfather died, some of the neighbors have come out of the house at around 2/3 of the night to find one of my grandfather's counterparts sitting on the edge of the pond. Maybe that's the genie whose revenge isn't over yet. Or maybe it’s Grandpa’s spirit that still comes to our rescue.
